Lightweight Fill

ECOLITE LWG 10/60 lightweight gravel can be used as a fill material to resolve problematic Geo-technical applications. Because of it's low density and high friction angle, replacing normal weight back-fill with Ecolite LWG can reduce ground pressure on foundations and behind retaining walls by up to 90%. Ecolite's free draining nature can also reduce hydraulic loading on the wall.

Ecolite lightweight gravel can also be used to reduce vertical loads on underground pipes and because of Ecolite's thermal insulating properties it can provide additional protection from freezing.
